An elderly craftsman who continued his father’s profession and made ornaments called “Glabtoon” in the traditional way with gold and silver thread. Ornaments that are sewn onto women’s clothing. But the war and the lack of raw materials close his ancestral workshop. And after his son is killed in the war, he makes a different decision. He secretly obtains cannon and tank shells used in maneuvers, cuts them in his workshop, and uses wire to create the same decorations on satin dresses. Later, he discovers that these shells can turn into musical strings.
